It now links to the website for all to see!    This week also saw our youngest son Logan turn that Big Double Digit age of 21! Happy birthday! Wish I could say that we shared that first drink together but we had already did that a couple years back. Yes he was legal! It was in the Bahamas where the age is 18 and we all shared a drink in Nassau as a family including Papa, Mama, His bro, His Cuz, and one of his friends, Ohh and Me!   Howdy,   Well this week we will officially say goodbye to Summer. This means cooler weather is on the way. For us here in the south this is a good thing as we will return to great temps and hopefully dryer sky’s. For those in the north get that winter coat out and check your car battery for cold cranking and all the other things required to prep for winter.   Besides the end of Summer this week Monday also brings another anniversary for Deb and I. Monday the 21 st  we hit 27 years since we said, “I DO!” I will not sugar coat it as it has not always been smooth sailing and like any relationship we have hit bumps and potholes in the road but my wife is still my best friend and the love of my life. We will keep moving forward, Love you Deb!   Ahoy Mates, I apologize for the Blog being a day late this week but it was intentional. You see after getting involved with the  Pirates Of The Caribbean The Immortal Sword Project  Deb and I have met some extremely fun and nice people. The fact that Deb and I have always enjoyed the Renaissance festivals and related events, I have always considered getting more involved with some of the Pirate / Leviathan groups. I have a meet a few different groups and Deb and I have kind of hit it off with some folks that have similar issues in regular life to us, so we attended a gathering of one of the St. Augustine Pirate Crews. It was very enlightening and we met even more people and learned what they are about and the things they do for charity etc. True between my day job and the fact that it is about an hour and a half away we cannot do every event but I think we will likely join this crew. They seem to be more relaxed and understanding of peeps personal life situations. It se...

  Hello Gang, Here we are at Labor Day the un-official end to Summer. Where did the time go? This week’s picture was taken in the front yard as we spotted a nice rainbow. Also during the past week with work being slow I focused on making my last run through Times Castaway Book Two, before sending it for the first round of editing.   Greetings, The past week started rough with a few bumps as life continued to toss out it’s challenges, but here we are. “Just batten down the hatches and ride it out until ye reach calmer waters.”  Part of the past week included a couple jobs for my alter ego’s (DAY JOB). All went smoothly including a basic set for sound on the beach for a small wedding. Hard to believe that after all these years in the biz and over two years at this location on the beach, this was my first beach side set up! It went very well and I received an email from the groom thanking me for helping make it a wonderful success. He wanted to play a song from his phone, and even though it is a small item the adaptors for phones there are multiple types and he forgot his. Well I had his back so away we went. It was warm but the weather was perfect making it a nice little ceremony. Wish them all the best!   Howdy Mates, This week has been a good one with my Alter Ego, that AV guy, taking care of a few small events. No spectacular events this week. For the first time in months I was able to attend the  Space Coast Writers Guilds  monthly meeting. It was nice to see the new meeting venue and how they have a great turn out even in the middle of summer.  I have completed another run through Times Castaway - Book Two. I recently heard back from my early Beta reader that I bounce things off of and his comments was cursing me because he couldn’t put it down. He was amazed at the level of rewrite I had made from the first draft. My goal is to release this one around the first of the year.  I have an Audiobook review of the audio version of   The Cove – The Summer Suspense Mysteries, Book 1.  This book was authored by  LJ Ross  and narrated by  Claire Corbett . Claire did a very nice job with the narration keeping the character voicings solid...

Greetings All, Yep the August heat continues and this past week was no exception. However I need to tell you about a great group of people that even with the steamy heat and the onslaught by those little blood sucking vampires, braved it all as they donated their time to keep a dream alive. If you have been following for the past few weeks you already know about a project to revive Pirates of the Caribbean from the ocean depths. A quick refresh  Pirates of the Caribbean The Immortal Sword  is a fan made film that is working on selling the overall story to Buena Vista Pictures. It is my understanding there is serious consideration and after the first two screenings some changes were suggested by executives who attended and others so a couple scene reshoots were arranged.  Now I am not really here to talk about the movie itself this week but about the people involved.   Hello My Fans, Here we are already a week into August, and here in Florida a large number of kids head back to school on Monday. Where has summer gone? It was still a busy week for my alter ego and I was lucky enough to work alongside both of our boys. (This week’s picture) our Youngest and I were handling audiovisual while our eldest son was a server for the banquet raising funds for a great cause, our Homeless Veterans. This was the fourth year doing this event and it went off smoothly like always. Ok on to the audiobook review for  Island of the Lost  authored by  Joan Druett  and Narrated  David Colacci . Joan has authored many books both fiction and non-fiction over the years and this one is one of her tops. Island of the Lost is a true story drawing on the accounts on multiple logs and journals from the actual castaways from a pair of shipwrecks. It just tells you how busy my alter ego has been and yep, “Life Gets In The Way!” Also as part of life August is not my favorite month, though many years apart I still lost both of my parents in August. Mother 6 th  and the Father 16 th .  So this week’s picture is a remembrance as I miss them both greatly but I know they are both Just Over The Rainbow.   Hello Me Mates, This past week saw yet another steady week with the day job and a couple friends losing family members unexpectedly. I offer my condolences to them and yet again a reminder to always make use of the time we have together and don’t put off till tomorrow what you can do today.  Like always for most book’s sales are down this month and this is very common as July is considered a bad month for book sales. People like us are busy enjoying outside activities and even though many are still reading, history and studies show the amount is way lower in July and August. Hey, I still have sales so I consider this a good thing.  I am continuing to work on book two of Times Castaway. As I make this run through where I clean up sentence structure and wordings I find even myself pulled in making it difficult at times as my mind begins to wander and things get added.   Hello Everyone, With everything going on around the country from smoke issues in the north because of the Canadian forest fires, to the Sahara Dust coating those of us in the south, I certainly hope everyone is doing good!  This past week found me busy once again traveling up to Jacksonville to help out with a large dinner Gala. Multiple Congressional Reps and a Senator and past senators & Reps were all in attendance so needless to say security was everywhere you looked. Either way the event went off very smooth and successfully. As it should!   Hello My Friends, These past few weeks as mentioned before, I have been a little bit on the busy side with my day job. Since I have not finished my current audiobook I figured perhaps I will share a little of my history and explain just what it is I do.  It all started back in 1989 when I started a yearlong apprenticeship in a recording studio called the Tracking Station in Ferndale MI. Wow some great times there studying and learning from the producer Engineer Robert Troy. After that year I worked in the studio for another year or so and started doing some other on location projects where I worked with Ed Primeau. Robert, Ed and I built a friendship that still goes on through this day. I learned a ton from both of these great men and own them a world of thanks.  Well after getting my feet wet I continued my education and attended Full Sail University where I expanded my knowledge into live productions and high end recording studios working on consoles like Neve and SSL...

At the Wally T house we didn’t do anything special except grill hotdogs and have a couple drinks.  I think I will share a little known piece of history. Besides giving thanks to everyone who has fought for our nations freedom, we also should give thanks to the pirates in the Bahamas during the beginning of the 18 th  century. The pirates of this day took a stand against a crown that used them and tossed them aside. It is because of this they turned to piracy and refused to accept the Kings rule. Our nation’s founding fathers knew their history and learned how a hand full of disorganized rebellious privateers was able to take a stand against the overwhelming power of the English crown for multiple years. This rebellion was our founding fathers inspiration and led to their belief that they could defeat the King of England....

  Hello All, During my last BLOG I had mentioned that a co-worker had a major medical issue and I was hoping and wishing for a speedy recovery. Well I am sorry to say things did not go well and we lost a man I only knew for a short time. He was not only a fellow Audio Visual Director that I participated in his interview and selection, but was also a fellow Alumni from Full Sail.  No review this week as with everything I have not been able to complete the book I am listening to currently. I will get it completed this week for a review on the 4 th  weekend. I will say so far I am enjoying “Beneath the Black Flag” by Sasa Fegic. So because of current circumstances I am going to share something else. It was eight years ago that our family lost a close friend and co-worker to the next chapter after this world, far too soon.
