Image
Hello My friends, This week started out with a tire issue so Monday was as they say, a Monday! Other than that the week went smooth with some final going through of the last edits with Erna (My Editor) for the new book. Coming Soon! Now I will say this, make sure you get signed up on the email list because on Memorial day I will be announcing some winners from the email list for a giveaway. Not sure the exact breakdown yet and obviously it will be my books in either Kindle or Audible and perhaps a signed print copy of Inanna Swynford. I will get the exact breakdown figured out by next week. Either way get signed up if you are not already!!!  Just Click Here!! The cover picture this week is an actual Bow Figure from an old sailing ship. I am sorry I do not remember the vintage but obviously old. It is kind of my fun thing to get a pic or selfie with different bow figures. Real and fake. It is just fun.  Well gang still listening to the book I started so hopefully next we...

First Book Signing

Image
Hey Hey, I will start with that it was a smooth and uplifting week! My day job went smooth and pleasant and then came the best part of the week, the book signing event at Antilles Trading Company in Cocoa FL. I was very pleased that Jackie and Ashley both said that they enjoyed our company and how we interreacted with the customers. It didn’t matter if they were buying my book I still engaged with people and promoted the store and museum. Well as for the actual signing here it is. I have worked with big names over the years and have zero jitters when running events but, since this was an all new unexplored event I had nerves. Well the weather was great and the environment inviting so I calmed them nerves and had a great experience and look forward to future ones. (Hint) They are in the works. Needless to say I met some great people and made good contacts.  Sorry no new book review this week but I am listening to one and it is another long one so it will take me some time. Bu...

Grace O'Malley: The Pirate Queen

Image
A hardy Hey there ho there, I will start with; it was cool seeing the Orion splash down in the Pacific after watching it launch from the front yard. I am pleased to see that they had a successful and safe journey. Over this past week I have been getting things ready for my first book signing, like table display’s and that sort of stuff. (See info below). This week’s picture was take while I did a short video reading from the new book. This video has been posted on my Facebook and TicTok. Another will follow soon.   This past week I did finish another audiobook and here is my review of  Grace O’Malley: The Pirate Queen of Ireland . This is actually a Biography Non-Fiction book. I select these from time to time as I like learning things. This book was authored by  History Nerds , a group of historians based in Ireland. The narration was provided by  Ailish Jeffers  who did an excellent job making it sound more like a story then a history lesson.   T...

Book Signing Event

Image
Hello Readers, Where shall I start for this past week??? I know, my alter ego / day job found me working hand and hand with the Canadian Space Agency for the Artemis II launch. My son and I took care of the set up and technical end for audiovisual for their briefing and pre-launch meet and greet. One of the highlights was that we were able to meet an astronaut that will be headed up on the next crew mission for the ISS. Way Cool! Besides meeting an astronaut this group was a fun very and appreciative of our efforts. THANKS FOR THE TIMBITS!  After the pre-launch festivities as I am sure most of you already know, we had a successful launch into a bright blue sky. Now they are in route to swing around the moon. God Speed!  Now another wild event! Hard to believe but on April 1 st , April Fool’s Day, I was contacted and invited to do my very first book signing event. I have been to a couple but never held my own. I am very much looking forward to this with a little nervousn...

Anachronist: A TIme Travel Adventure

Image
Hello Fans, This past week really didn’t see anything exciting go on except getting ready for the Moon Launch on April 1 st . (Fingers Crossed) The picture for this week is of my parents who both passed many years ago now but still miss them every day. Wish my mother had been able to know our boys but she left us for the next chapter way back in 1995, years before Deb and I even married. Pops though hung around till 2009 and this weekend he would have been 97. Love and miss you!  Alright as I promised last week, here is my review of   Anachronist: A Time Travel Adventure  the Infinity Engines Book 1, by  Andrew Hastie .  I will start with; this was a wonderful book narrated by  Rupert Degas . Ruperts character voicings was excellent and his ability to make you feel the intensity of the moment was extraordinary.  The adventure begins with a young man putting in his community service time for his civil infractions shall we say. He gets i...

Musical Family

Image
Greetings My Loyal Fans, This past week has been, well, slow! Spring Break is in full swing here in Florida so my alter ego had only a small audiovisual job early in the week. Most corporations do not book large events this time of year as a ton of peeps are on vacation. They did roll out the Artimis II rocket back to the pad so at the moment the moon rocket is scheduled to launch April 1 st ! My alter ego will be handling a media event for this launch so fingers crossed. As I said last week, I started a new audiobook Anachronist: A Time Travel Adventure. As I listen mostly while driving and with not being on the road much this week I am still working on it. I hope to have it completed for next week and give you my thoughts.  Since I do not have a book to review I will chat a little about our family history that will explain this week’s picture. You see I come from a family with a strong musical history on my mother’s side. I know that my great aunt co-composed some music th...

The Pirate Who Learned to Love

Image
Hello Everyone, Let’s start out with it has been a slow week for my Alter Ego as spring break kicks off. However this worked out as we had some errands to run. I did take care of the AV duties for a fun fundraiser for the second year in a row. (This week’s Pic) This event goes with a James Bond theme making it glamours and fun all at the same time. Man did they auction off a couple really nice trips to Venice raising good money for abused children.  As some of you know we are still waiting on the Moon rocket to launch and we now have a new target date, April 1 st ! We will see!  I have started a new audiobook but it will take me a couple weeks to get through this one so be on the lookout for my review of Anachronist: A Time Travel Adventure. Enjoying it so far!  Now this doesn’t mean I do not have a book review for you. As you might remember a few weeks back I met a fellow author Kieth Carson better known as  Captain Kidd Carson  who authors children’s bo...
