Outlander

 

Hello Gang,

I will start out with this week’s picture! This is the front cover for my new book Times Castaway Book One Blackbeard’s Treasure. We are on schedule for possibly a June release as we have only a couple small hurdles to traverse and all will be ready. Please drop me a note as to what you think of this cover. Once again Zero AI and no clip art everything is pictures from live shoots. 

I will say the weather is heating up but still having some absolutely beautiful days here on the Space Coast. I am pleased to say that I am happy to see that after the deep freeze we had this winter almost all of our plants are coming back. It is just sad that after getting some of them nicely grown they are now back to square one at ground level. I guess this is the fun of growing and having plants.  

Well gang I am sorry to say that I do not have a book review this week but no fear one is coming as I have started on the follow up to Pirates of the Wild West. (Pirates of World War Two) Hint: Enjoying it but just a longer book so it takes time. Keep your eyes open for that review.

Now without a book review I still have a personal review to share on the TV show OUTLANDER. Yes I am behind as I have never seen a single episode of this show but after multiple peeps say my new book could be the next Outlander and after seeing a couple episodes I take this as a big compliment. Let me say my book is nothing like this series with the exception of time travel being involved. Now onto the show! We are only eight episodes into season one and ohh man wish we had started this series years ago. I love the time frame and seeing all the shots of the highlands and the vintage clothing is excellent. So far the mix of showing how things are very much different and the use of language barriers has been handled nicely. I just want to say that if you haven’t seen this show and you like historical drama, this is a must see. Now I will give you a warning as it isn’t for the youngens! A fair amount of brutality and nudity mixed in with some sex scenes. So be ready!

  Hello Me Maties, This past week was spent continuing to promote the new book  Times Castaway Book One Blackbeard’s Treasure . I am pleased to say that this book has had readers/listeners every single day for over a week now. Just need to keep it going!  I have to apologize as I still have not finished the audiobook Argentia Station yet. Just didn’t get the listening time I needed. BUT!!!! This is not to say that I don’t have a REVIEW for you! My wife Debbie and I were invited to attend the premier screening for a fan made movie  PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN – THE IMMORTAL SWORD . In short this is the tale of why Jack Sparrow already knows Davey Jones etc. This is about events that took place prior to the first movie Curse of the Black Pearl. The setting for our viewing was in St. Augustine FL, located in the Colonial Quarter directly across from the old Spanish Fort, our screen an olde canvas style. The Rattler & Anniversary

  Howdy,   Well this week we will officially say goodbye to Summer. This means cooler weather is on the way. For us here in the south this is a good thing as we will return to great temps and hopefully dryer sky’s. For those in the north get that winter coat out and check your car battery for cold cranking and all the other things required to prep for winter.   Besides the end of Summer this week Monday also brings another anniversary for Deb and I. Monday the 21 st  we hit 27 years since we said, “I DO!” I will not sugar coat it as it has not always been smooth sailing and like any relationship we have hit bumps and potholes in the road but my wife is still my best friend and the love of my life. We will keep moving forward, Love you Deb! The Immortal Sword Second Screening

  Hello Me Mates, This past week saw yet another steady week with the day job and a couple friends losing family members unexpectedly. I offer my condolences to them and yet again a reminder to always make use of the time we have together and don’t put off till tomorrow what you can do today.  Like always for most book’s sales are down this month and this is very common as July is considered a bad month for book sales. People like us are busy enjoying outside activities and even though many are still reading, history and studies show the amount is way lower in July and August. Hey, I still have sales so I consider this a good thing.  I am continuing to work on book two of Times Castaway. As I make this run through where I clean up sentence structure and wordings I find even myself pulled in making it difficult at times as my mind begins to wander and things get added.
