Hello my Friends,


As you read this we are either packing the last items for our Bahama cruise or we are already aboard the Carnival Freedom. We love this ship as we have been on her twice before. The two prior times deck one and two forward but this time we are deck six forward with a window overlooking the bow. Looking forward to visiting Nassau once again, I love Nassau! This time we are going to hopefully finally make it to the Pirates of Nassau Museum. Pictures probably on the next blog. 


Here is the Audio Book Review!!! I had the pleasure of listening to Pirate In The Mist by Elizabeth Rose. This is the first book in the Second In Command series and was narrated by Brian J. Gill who did a great job! His ability for characters that had their own distinct voice was superb. Bravo Sir!  This story was exactly my style as you basically follow two main characters, Brody and Gwen as they fall in love. It was easy to stay with as you meet Brody a Pirate Captain, who’s crew mutinied, where Gwendolyn is the daughter of a fisherman. As Brody learns about Gwen things actually turn around and Gwen learns more about her family and their hidden secrets. I found the world building excellent as most of this book takes place in Cornwall England, where my father’s family line is from, giving me some fun mental visions of this place. The best part is the writer is not overly descriptive letting you fill in your picture as you are guided through the story. I enjoyed this book so much I have already placed the second book in my audio library. Another thing this listen was just over two and a half hours making it perfect for that short listening window.


My Alter ego (Day Job) did have a bummer this week as the Artimis II rocket failed the wet test, pushing blast off to March or further.

  Hello Me Maties, This past week was spent continuing to promote the new book  Times Castaway Book One Blackbeard’s Treasure . I am pleased to say that this book has had readers/listeners every single day for over a week now. Just need to keep it going!  I have to apologize as I still have not finished the audiobook Argentia Station yet. Just didn’t get the listening time I needed. BUT!!!! The Rattler & Anniversary

  Howdy,   Well this week we will officially say goodbye to Summer. This means cooler weather is on the way. For us here in the south this is a good thing as we will return to great temps and hopefully dryer sky’s. For those in the north get that winter coat out and check your car battery for cold cranking and all the other things required to prep for winter.   Besides the end of Summer this week Monday also brings another anniversary for Deb and I. Monday the 21 st  we hit 27 years since we said, “I DO!” I will not sugar coat it as it has not always been smooth sailing and like any relationship we have hit bumps and potholes in the road but my wife is still my best friend and the love of my life. We will keep moving forward, Love you Deb! The Immortal Sword Second Screening

  Hello Me Mates, This past week saw yet another steady week with the day job and a couple friends losing family members unexpectedly. I offer my condolences to them and yet again a reminder to always make use of the time we have together and don’t put off till tomorrow what you can do today.  Like always for most book’s sales are down this month and this is very common as July is considered a bad month for book sales. People like us are busy enjoying outside activities and even though many are still reading, history and studies show the amount is way lower in July and August. Hey, I still have sales so I consider this a good thing.  I am continuing to work on book two of Times Castaway. As I make this run through where I clean up sentence structure and wordings I find even myself pulled in making it difficult at times as my mind begins to wander and things get added.
